"저는 목욕하는 것을 좋아해요"
I like taking baths.
- Yeah? Me? Not so much.
*not so much: 그닥, 그다지
It (really) helps me relax.
- That's what my wife always says.
*says의 발음: 쎄이스x, 쎄즈o
I didn't always enjoy it though.
- Yeah?
In fact, I hardly took baths when I was younger.
- Why not?
I've only recently started taking baths on a semi-regular basis.
*I've only recently started: 최근에 들어서야 시작했다. '얼마 안 됐다'를 강조)
*semi: 단독으로는 발음 '세미', semi-regular basis처럼 붙어 나올때는 '세마이'로 발음.
- What changed?
When I was younger, I guess I was just too busy all the time and the idea of sitting in the bathtub for long periods of time was just never all that appealing to me.
- I see. I think that's pretty much how I feel about it now.
But now, I find it to be a great way to give myself some personal time away from everything else.
- Hmm. I've never thought of it that way. Oh~! That's why my wife always takes long baths.
*I've never thought of it that way.: 그런식으로는 생각해본 적이 없네
Plus, when you consider the added health benefits, I can't think of a better way to spend my evenings.
